Los Cristianos Once a small fishing village as the holiday brouchers say Los Cristianos is now a bustling tourist resort with many up market shops pavement cafes and bars.Some of its original roots still remain for example the fishing fleet still set sail so to speak from the harbour and you can purchase there catch from the stalls adjacent to the harbour. The church square is a pleasant place to sit and pass some time with the splendid church the small streets leading off to the many shops where you can go bargain hunting.Stolling on down to the blue flag yellow sand beach you will find the many water sport available the usual pedellos,banana boats paragliding ect.Once on the promenade you can walk toward the Las Vistas beach and on to Las Americas. From the harbour there are whale watching trips,fishing and scuba diving. The ferry to La Gomera a wonderful scenic island also leaves from Los Cristianos harbour we recommend you take an organized tour so that you get to see what the island has to offer. The market takes place every sunday in Los Cristianos next to the Arona Grand it gets very busy so get there early. You will have some great days out in Tenerife.
Eating out. There is a vast range of cuisine to be sampled in Los Cristianos from traditional canarian to indian, chinese,italian, mexican and of course British. A three course meal can be purchased for six euro usually from a set menu and all you can eat for the same amount in the chinese and for about 3euro fifty you can get a half chicken,chips with salad and there are a number of steak houses slightly more expensive like the Aberdeen steak house
Some of the places we eat are Cheers Bar in San Marino a great sunday lunch Porkies just past the rear of san marino before the bus station a selection of home cooked british fayre Charlies on the coner just across the road from the market fixed price menu 6€. Desperate dans just across the road from the market reasonable priced drinks and good food try my favorite the shoulder of lamb or how about desperate dans cow pie say hello to ed and allan please dont mention celtic!. For the hungery amongst you why not try the Treasure Chinese on the front next to H10 Oasis Moreque Hotel six euro all you can eat Another place we eat is Margaritas accross the road from our apartment in Cristian Sur a three course menue for €8.50. And finally the place we and most of our guest like is the restaraunt in Cristian Sur El Brasero. Theres no shortage of good cheap dining places in Los Cristianos you dont have to pay a fortune to have a nice meal.
Shows. There are a number off good shows in Tenerife such as Raffles dinner show where you are entertained by the waiters it is located in the sky park and is a great nights entertaimment. Medievial night in the Casatillo San miguel .
